Renewables
By 2030, total electricity consumption is estimated to substantially increase, while in the same period the use of fossil sources is to be significantly reduced. This makes the contribution of renewables a key element of the energy equation.
Renewable sources include solar, wind, hydro, geothermal and biomass energy. Their progressive diffusion allows for the phasing down of carbon emissions and a better use of resources. It also leads to a higher degree of energy independence – since renewable power generation is essentially local.
Based on the long-standing Ansaldo experience in the renewable energy field, Ansaldo Energia and Ansaldo Green Tech are engaged in research and development for flexible multi-source power generation and increasingly efficient energy storage.
