The World Day for Health and Safety at Work is a moment of strong appeal to the prevention and promotion of safe behaviours, to reduce risk factors in the workplace.

This has always been a priority commitment for the Ansaldo Energia Group which, on a daily basis, through timely initiatives and scheduled activities, implements all the necessary measures to prevent accidents and occupational diseases, in line with the corporate values and culture acquired over almost 170 years of industrial and manufacturing history.

In a world scenario made even more complex by extraordinary challenges and problems - not least those linked to the pandemic emergency for the spread of Covid-19 - Ansaldo Energia wants, once again and with strength, to commit itself day by day to improve safety and health at work and be ready to face changes. We did it through the difficult time of the pandemic, when the sense of responsibility, belonging, collaboration and trust between the parties, made it possible to respect the production schedule, despite the Coronavirus emergency, never giving up the protection of our workers and their families.

On this day, internationally promoted by the ILO (International Labor Organization), our commitment is to maintain the desired level of prevention in terms Occupational Health and Safety and continue to work for a constant improvement of working conditions.

Unfortunately, there are still too many accidents and we cannot but mention the workers who died, who remained disabled or became ill due to an unsafe job.

In Italy, the reports of accidents at work presented to INAIL in 2021 were 555,236, 896 more than the 554,340 in 2020, while the reports of accidents at work with a fatal outcome presented to INAIL in 2021 were 1,221, 49, less than the 1,270 recorded in 2020 (-3.9%).

The culture of safety and health at work is a founding value to our Company: in a path of improvement and growth, employer and workers actively participate to ensure a safe and healthy work environment through a system of rights, responsibilities and reciprocal obligations, where the highest priority is given to the principle of prevention.

In this context, we present the important appointment of 28 April, with the Safety Walk & Talk awareness initiative, which took place in the Ansaldo Energia production areas at the Campi Workshop, a moment of reflection that involved all the actors of the company system: workers, top management, executives and trade unions.

Let's not let our guard down, the workplace must be a safe place: let's go home every night and hug our loved ones.
