On 25 October, the annual conference of the Plant Components Section of ANIMP, the National Association of Industrial Plant Engineering, took place in Milan on the subject “Market trends for the industrial plant industry".
The conference opened with the presentation of the forecasts and strategies for the energy sector market and went on with a round table involving the sales managers of the major EPC Contractors. From the trends in the energy market and the challenges facing the commercial world every day, to the critical issues regarding the procurement of materials and the consequent costs increase: today, more than ever, the phase we are living through requires strengthening the networks among industries and enhancing the role of supply chains.
Ansaldo Energia, ANIMP member and sponsor of the Conference, participated in the round table with the contribution of Antonio Piga, our Procurement Director. Piga highlighted how the years we have left behind - the pandemic, the lockdown - have been an important opportunity to review the supply chain, to improve and accelerate the digitization of business processes and identify new technological solutions focused specifically on the energy transition.
Piga also underlined how the Ansaldo Energia Group is strongly involved and ready to face the challenges of the energy transition and how this can lead to the creation and management of new supply chains.
The Ansaldo Energia Group, in fact, on the one hand continues its technological investments in gas turbines, to achieve the goal of making its top of the range products capable of using 100% hydrogen as fuel by 2030, while on the other pursues an important business diversification strategy, widening its portfolio with specific products for the transition, such as electrolysers and storage.
