Ansaldo Energia has been operating since 2017 as maintenance partner of the Skikda combined cycle power plant (880 MW) on steam turbines, alternators and related auxiliaries.
The collaboration established has never stopped, even in the most difficult times of the Covid-19 emergency: indeed, despite the restrictions in place and thanks to the support from the Customer, the local authorities and the Italian Embassy, Ansaldo Energia was able to intervene successfully on site for important maintenance work.
In addition to performance, Ansaldo Energia was also selected for the supply of spare parts for its machines, as well as for the application of technical updates.
Ansaldo Energia has been present in Algeria for more than 30 years and has completed numerous turnkey power plant projects for a total installed power of approximately 4 GW. Ansaldo Energia is also active in the maintenance, supply of spare parts, repairs and training activities, to support its customers in the North African country.
In line with the intention of strengthening localization, the Algerian company Ansaldo Algérie was created in 2017 and a team of local technicians was set up.
