Technological exchange and future power plants: agreement between Ansaldo Energia and Samruk Energy for new collaborations in Kazakhstan

The signing took place in the presence of the President of the Kazakh Republic Tokayev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tajani

 

Consolidation of existing commercial relationships, possible new collaborations and exchange of technological skills: these are the main points of the agreement signed yesterday in Rome between Ansaldo Energia, in the person of the CEO Fabrizio Fabbri, and Samruk Energy, Kazakh state electricity company, in the person of Kairat Maksutov, President of the Board of Directors. The signing took place in the presence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of the Italy-Kazakhstan round table which took place in Rome.

The agreement fits into the context of strong commitment between the two countries in strengthening relations of cooperation and development and creates a frame of reference for collaborations between the two companies in the sector of new power plants construction in Kazakhstan.

Samruk Energy is the largest electricity holding company in the Kazakh republic and its main objective is the creation of a highly efficient energy supply system to support the sustainable development of all sectors in Kazakhstan.

The collaboration agreement signed yesterday will focus on the cooperative efforts to implement and successfully launch of new future combined cycle power plant projects in Kazakhstan, including the project of “Reconstruction of the Almaty CHPP-3 power plant”, and on the exchange of technological skills and the training of local specialists by Ansaldo Energia.
