RINA has recently awarded Ansaldo Nucleare the ISO 19443:2018 certification, the standard dedicated to quality management systems in the nuclear supply chain. The standard is increasingly establishing itself as an international benchmark—particularly in Europe—for defining requirements and processes that ensure reliability, safety, and consistency across the sector’s activities.
As part of the assessment process, RINA examined Ansaldo Nucleare’s main business processes, including Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management. The certification confirmed the effectiveness of the company’s operating model and full compliance with the requirements of the standard, which RINA will continue to monitor in the coming years.
For Ansaldo Nucleare, obtaining certification from an accredited body represents recognition of the robustness of its quality and safety management system, as well as a tool to further enhance its attractiveness to customers and partners.
“With this achievement, Ansaldo Nucleare and RINA further consolidate their collaboration and strengthen the competitiveness of the Italian nuclear supply chain, providing the market with a certification model aligned with international standards and capable of supporting the evolution of a rapidly growing sector,” commented Daniela Gentile, Chief Executive Officer of Ansaldo Nucleare.
“Today, ISO 19443 certification represents a strategic milestone for companies in the nuclear supply chain aiming to compete in international markets. The assessment process conducted by RINA confirmed not only full compliance with the standard’s requirements as implemented by Ansaldo Nucleare, but also the high level of maturity and robustness of the company’s organizational model. This result highlights the commitment and expertise of Ansaldo Nucleare, among the first companies to achieve this certification with RINA,” added Paolo Moretti, Chief Executive Officer of RINA Services.
