Full refurbishment of gas turbine rotors is one of Ansaldo Energia Gulf's competences. A Rotor Lifetime Assessment can be performed to determine the condition of the gas turbine rotor; the result of the assessment might reveal that a standard rotor overhaul is sufficient to get the rotor up and running again. If severe damage is found, it is also possible that rotor components must be replaced; Ansaldo Energia Gulf can replace the damaged sections with own manufactured components. Besides repairing the rotor, there is also the possibility of upgrading it by installing new compressor blades, increasing power while reducing heat rate reduced.
