Promoted by University of Genoa within the "M'Illumino di Meno" National Day

M’Illumino di Meno, the Italian National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles promoted by Rai Radio2, is back today and marks its 19° edition.

It is the most important communication campaign on energy saving in Italy, a symbolic initiative aimed at raising awareness on this crucial topic for the future of our planet.

As part of the initiative, the University of Genoa held today the round table “Introduzione alla transizione energetica" to sensitize the university community on the several initiatives undertaken and discuss about strategies and tools for the improvement of the university’s energy performance. Ansaldo Green Tech joined this important panel with a speech by Bartolomeo Gianni Marcenaro, Senior Vice President Business & Market Development, who underlined how it is not so easy today to talk about transition, as there could be the risk to express sometimes quite unremarkable concepts. In the meantime, it is absolutely necessary to keep this matter at the top of our priorities’ list, for the future of all of us.

In this overview, energy storage is a key factor in the path towards a greener society: storing energy and making it available even when the power plants are not in operation, thus matching the availability of renewable energy with users’ demand, make it the fundamental system through which we can achieve energy transition main goals.
