At the World Utilities Congress in Abu Dhabi

On the sidelines of the World Utilities Congress underway in Abu Dhabi, the CEO of Ansaldo Energia Group, Mr. Fabrizio Fabbri, had the opportunity to meet the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy in Abu Dhabi, and Mrs. Daniela Gentile, CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare.

H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei and Mr. Fabrizio Fabbri addressed topics such as the vision of the United Arab Emirates about energy security and transition, the important and consolidated relations between the UAE and Italy and the longstanding and fruitful presence of Ansaldo Energia in the Country.

H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei underlined the importance of improving efficiency and decarbonizing the electrical production, while ensuring grid balance. All that, underlined H.E. the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, can be accomplished only by developing the right mix of energy sources. H.E. also underlined the velocity of delivering of the UAE nuclear program, extremely complex and implemented in just 8 years. H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei expressed appreciation for the longstanding presence of Ansaldo Energia in the UAE and the partnership built on cooperation and development.

Ansaldo Energia Group’s presence in United Arab Emirates dates to almost 30 years. The company inaugurated its Abu Dhabi branch in 1995. In 2010, it opened its Abu Dhabi - Middle East Service Hub repair workshop. Moreover, in 2022 Ansaldo Energia inaugurated in Abu Dhabi its Integrated Plant Support (IPS) Middle East, a diagnostic centre that constantly monitors a vast fleet of worldwide installed equipment. The Middle East IPS, working together with its Italian twin based in Genova, leverages leading-edge technologies such as predictive diagnostic tools. Ansaldo Energia employs over 300 high-skilled technicians in the country, is engaged in complex operational activities, and performs the repair of about 30,000 hot parts of gas turbines.
