Establishing a high-level energy training center in Baku: this is the aim of the memorandum of understanding signed in recent days by Ansaldo Energia, Azenererji OJSC, Politecnico di Torino and the ADA University of Baku. The document was signed during the visit of the Italian delegation to the capital of Azerbaijan.
The training center, which will include an educational center and a laboratory, will be built inside the "Shimal" power plant managed by Azerenerji. The initiative was conceived as part of the "University Italy - Azerbaijan" collaboration project, with the aim of preparing highly qualified professionals on new technologies in the energy sector, but it is also a further step in the collaboration path between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Italian Republic.
Just last February Ansaldo Energia and Azerenerji signed a contract for the supply of four AE94.3A gas turbines which will be the heart of the "Azerbaijan" combined cycle plant, located in the city of Mingachevir.
