A successful achievement at Dedisa power plant

In April 2024, Ansaldo Energia successfully performed and completed a Major Outage project at Dedisa Power Plant, South Africa with effective cooperation with our Customer.
The Major Outage is the 4th to be delivered in the last six months in a scheduled maintenance project of 6 outages within 2024. 
The project has been concluded within the MO schedule, including extra activities of rotor unstacking.

Avon Peaking Power and Dedisa Peaking Power are the first large private power generation projects in the Republic of South Africa with a combined capacity of 1,005 MW. 
The two 670 MW (Avon) and 335 MW (Dedisa), oil-fueled, simple cycle power plants are equipped with 6 Ansaldo Energia AE94.2 gas turbines, essential to the stability of the South African electricity system.
