Yesterday, on the sidelines of the opening day of the World Utilities Congress— one of the leading global events dedicated to energy and power generation—the CEO of Ansaldo Energia Group, Mr. Fabrizio Fabbri, met with H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting, also attended by Mr. Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy in the United Arab Emirates, further strengthened the dialogue initiated on 19th September 2024 during the previous edition of the World Utilities Congress, addressing crucial topics related to energy transition, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
During their discussions, H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei and Mr. Fabrizio Fabbri reiterated the significance of energy security and ongoing decarbonization efforts, highlighting the UAE's strategic vision for a diversified energy mix and improved efficiency in resources management. H.E. Minister Al Mazrouei emphasized the value of international partnerships and technological innovation.

Ansaldo Energia was recently appointed of providing 4 gas turbines and 4 generators for the new 1 GW Al Dhafra power plant project, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Expected to be commissioned by May 2027, the new flexible and efficient power plant will significantly contribute to UAE’s energy security and transition.
