In China, the tightening environmental legislative regulations outlined in the "2018-2020 Three- Year Action Plan for Winning the Blue-Sky War" for emissions of Nitrogen oxides (NOx) from large frame gas turbines, are driving key business investment decisions by the major power producers. NOx is a precursor to the formation of ozone in the atmosphere, a major component of ground level smog, and represents a significant quality of life issue causing, among other things, respiratory problems.
Additionally, over the next 5- 10 years, there will be a dramatic and accelerating shift from the use of coal for fossil fuel power generation in China, switching to both much cleaner natural gas and hydrogen fuels in gas turbines power plants, allowing for a tremendous reduction in the generation of climate-impacting greenhouse gases.
Join the thought and technology leaders from Ansaldo Energia and their Multi-OEM Gas Turbine Fleet Services team from PSM. They will discuss and highlight their innovative and proven retrofit combustion system platforms developed and designed for China's installed fleet of power generation turbines, ensuring these existing assets can play a vital role in the drive for a renewable-dominated, carbon-neutral power grid of tomorrow.
