Service
Service solutions are customised in accordance with each Customer’s requirements.
Ansaldo Energia’s comprehensive set of service contracts includes one-shot Repair activities, Spare
Parts supply, Field Service for planned or unplanned maintenance, rehabilitation, revamping, refurbishment
and other Upgrades schemes for components and plants. In addition, in the framework of its partnership
approach, Ansaldo Energia proposes a number of Long Term Agreements, ranging from Frame contracts
to more composite agreements, eventually including guarantee commitments on plant availability and performance.
The Service division pools all the operating capacity and know-how the Company offers its Customers.
Consistently with recent dramatic changes in the structure of the electricity value chain, Ansaldo Energia has developed
an innovative service vision, in which the traditional Customer/Supplier relationship is substituted by a Partnership
approach, with the shared goal of jointly identifying the best arrangement and planning in consideration of the technical
and economic issues involved.
The evolution of power markets is dramatically changing the structure of the electricity value chain.
As a result, utilities, IPPs and equipment manufacturers are facing new challenges and new risks.
The liberalization, segmentation and unbundling of different services has boosted the search for
competitiveness across all industry actors (utilities, independent power producers, traders, investors).
Nowadays, electricity is considered one of the most volatile commodities on the market, and as such it
has an increasingly close relationship with financial markets.
It is therefore not surprising that the focus of these customers has shifted increasingly from preserving
and protecting their assets, to managing and optimising them in order to achieve the greatest possible Return
On Investment, at the same time as ensuring sustainable profitability and reliability.
Traditionally a supplier of such assets, Ansaldo Energia is driven by same goals as its customers, or in other
words the management and optimisation of energy assets, deploying advanced service solutions which
enable power plants to generate additional profit.
