Process

Ansaldo Energia has decided to implement @-Procurement in order to:

• manage the supply chain more efficiently;
• find alternative suppliers, let them register and automatically include them in Ansaldo Energia's potential Supplier list;
• manage and track the orders in the most effective way.

Registering
A potential Supplier can introduce itself to Ansaldo Energia by means of "Registration".
It has to fill in the Registration form.
After transmission to Ansaldo Energia, the Registration form is then automatically filed in the Potential Supliers Archive.

Request for Quotation
The site has been developed so that a Request for Quotation can be issued via Web-site. When a Bid is ready to be sent out, the invited Suppliers are informed by means of an E-mail communication.
The Suppliers will gain access to the RfQ information via security passwords valid only on the bid(s) for which they are selected and only if they have accepted and returned to Ansaldo Energia a non-disclosure agreement.
The Suppliers will then be able to consult the documents and download them for printing.

Auction
Web-based Auction is a dynamic bidding method which enables suppliers from around the world to bid and compete in real
time by Web.
Ansaldo, ever-conscious of cost-saving for both its Customers and Suppliers, has developed its own Web-based auction instead of using the more sophisticated ones made available throughout the Marketplace. Suppliers will be invited to bid by means of an E-mail communication and an appropriate password.

Tracking
Ansaldo provides engineering, project management, construction and commissioning on a world-wide basis and must follow-up orders in real time, in order to be effective in implementing recovery actions. Web-based tools for tracking and following up orders saves time and permits appropriate corrective actions.
