The vast experience gained in over 100 years of machinery production and assistance around the world enables Ansaldo Energia to operate with the engineering background necessary to carry out successfully any kind of field and workshop repair and overhaul, on its production and on other original equipment manufactures' similar machinery.

The large, comprehensive offer covers all possible needs of the Ansaldo Energia three main product lines: 70-279 MW heavy duty gas turbines, 40-1200 MW steam turbines supplied either directly or by third parties, both for thermal and geo-thermal applications, 40-1200 MVA generators for gas, steam, and 10-400 MVA for hydrogenerators. Every year, Ansaldo Energia Service performs some 150 overhauls on the above plants and equipment.

Thanks to such a profound experience, a vast variety of Field Services is available with Ansaldo Energia. Ultimately, it is the Customer’s requirements that design Ansaldo Energia’s intervention, therefore any Field Service listing will necessarily need to be tailored according to each Customer.
The contractual agreements can span from on-call daily technical representative field dispatching, to single or repeatable turn-key maintenance contracts with a jointly agreed quality and duration guarantee.

In 2004, Ansaldo Energia Service accounted for some 400,000 man hours in Field Service assignments (about 1/3 involving Ansaldo partners’ personnel).
