Current Projects
Ansaldo Energia is involved in Italy on Enipower project. A key factor in this contract is in the maintenance and assistance offering, which was formulated in detail based on innovative criteria.
The recent signing of a contract with Rizziconi Energia (EGL), for the turnkey
supply of an 800 Mwe Combined Cycle at the site of the same name in Reggio Calabria, starts off 2006 on a good foot, in line with 2005. The Rizziconi contract (EGL previously placed an order with the company for the Sparanise plant, now at an advanced stage of construction) is worth a total 490m, covering also maintenance and technical assistance. Two orders worthy of special mention are from Turin's Azienda Energetica Metropolitana to repower unit two as a
combined cycle and from Tirreno Power for the transformation of unit three at the Napoli Levante station.
The bid for the supply of 32 simple-cycle gas turbine (GT) units to Iran, in wich the main European manufacturers participated, ended with a pre-agreement in May 1999 and the signing of the contract in July of the same year between Ansaldo Energia Spa and its client, Mapna, the largest general conctractor in Iran in the electricity field and affiliated to the country's Ministry of Energy. The 32 units, all of them equipped with V94.2 150MW gas turbines, total 4800 MW of power output, constituting roughly 20% of the entire production of the country. In the meantime, new contracts have been added to the initial one, bringing the final number of units supplied by Ansaldo Energia to 44.
Work has started on the first Ansaldo Energia order in Spain. The scope of work comprises the supply, erection (handled on a joint basis with Demont in a Temporary Grouping of Companies) and commissioning of two V94.3A4 gas turbines plus relative alternators, two heat recovery steam generators, a steam turbine-alternator and the relative auxiliary system.
